Inspired by Fenrir, the monstrous wolf of Norse mythology, the Chained Beast represents restrained power, inevitability, and the force that cannot be contained forever. Bound by the gods after they came to fear his growing strength, Fenrir waited beneath his chains until the day fate decreed that he would break free.

The Myth

Fenrir was the monstrous wolf born to Loki and the giantess Angrboða, alongside Jörmungandr and Hel. The gods grew increasingly fearful of what Fenrir would become. After ordinary chains failed to hold him, the dwarves forged Gleipnir, a magical binding made from impossible things including the sound of a cat's footsteps and the roots of mountains. Fenrir was eventually bound, but the prophecy of Ragnarök could not be stopped.

The Chained Beast represents power, resilience, freedom, and the inevitability of fate. It serves as a reminder that strength can remain hidden for a time, but what is meant to break free cannot always be held forever.

Crafted with a Louro Preto wooden strap, the Chained Beast combines the natural character of wood with the intricate mechanics of an automatic timepiece. Powered by an automatic mechanical movement, the watch operates through the natural movement of the wearer, eliminating the need for a traditional battery. Finished with mineral crystal glass and a concealed push-button clasp, the 45mm case gives the watch a substantial presence on the wrist. With a 22mm wooden strap, 14.2mm case thickness, and 3 ATM splash water protection, it combines a bold profile with natural craftsmanship.

Care

The Chained Beast is made with natural wood and should be kept away from prolonged exposure to water. Do not wear it while swimming, showering, bathing, at the gym, or during activities where it may be exposed to significant moisture or sweat. Although it has 3 ATM splash water protection, this should not be treated as waterproofing. Keep the wooden strap dry whenever possible and gently wipe away any moisture with a soft cloth. As this is an automatic mechanical watch, avoid strong impacts and unnecessary knocks that could affect the movement.
